Overal OV op Maat

In a number of regions, we offer a Overal OV op Maat service, in addition to the regular bus lines. Overal OV op Maat is a sustainable and flexible transport service to order in the Noord-Holland Noord region. You decide when you will be picked up at your bus stop and where you will be dropped off.

So, there is no fixed timetable for Overal OV op Maat. A taxi will pick you up at a bus stop at the agreed time, and will take you as quickly as possible to your selected bus stop. You may have to share the vehicle with other passengers. But that only happens if your arrival time is not affected. Reservations can be made via a free Overal OV op Maat-app or by calling.

Where does Overal OV op maat run?

The flex-buses are currently used in the following isolated areas within the Noord-Holland Noord region:

Bakkum – connection to Castricum NS
Egmond-Binnen – connection to Heiloo NS

You can only travel within one area with Overal OV op maat: from public transport junction (station or central stop) to the village centre. So, not from area to area.

When does Overal OV op maat run?

Castricum - Bakkum
Line 164 runs on weekdays between 06:00h -09:00h and 14:00h -18:00h.
In Castricum at the other times all days of the week can be used with Overal OV op Maat.

Heiloo - Egmond-Binnen
Except for Sundays, neighborhood bus 408 can be used at all other times.
On Sundays, use can be made of Overal OV op Maat.

Making a reservation

You must make a reservation at least 30 minutes in advance. You can make a reservation up to 14 days in advance.

            Please note: You must reserve an Overal OV op Maat bus. You cannot flag down an Overal OV op Maat as you would a taxi or regular bus. Even if there is (still) room in the bus, you cannot just get on the bus: there may be other passengers who have a reservation and will board the bus later.

Making a reservation per telephone

You can also order Overal OV op Maat by calling 088-6000 987. Overal OV op Maat can be reached by telephone on working days from 06.00 to 20.30 hrs and on weekends and public holidays from 07.30 to 20.30 hrs.

The driver will call you if you are not at the chosen bus stop. If you do not get to the bus stop on time, the driver can decide to leave after one minute. The ride will then be cancelled. If you paid in advance, you will not receive a refund.

Travelling together

Our system works per person. It is therefore possible that you will be picked up by different vehicles if you make a reservation separately. If you want to travel together, order for several people (maximum 4) from the same location and with the same account. If you travel with more than 4 people, order 2 times with 2 different accounts.

When a person makes a reservation for a group, he/she can pay by credit card for the entire group or indicate during the reservation that each will pay for themselves in the vehicle using their debit card.

Fare

For Overal OV op Maat, your journey will be charged at the normal public transport rate. You can see how much your ride will cost in the Overal OV op Maat app. When you book by phone, you can ask for the price of your chosen ride.
Children in a stroller are allowed to travel for free. Children who are not in a stroller are considered to be an extra passenger and need to pay for a seat.
If the bus driver has to make a detour, you will not have to pay extra.
Subscriptions and (age) discounts are valid if you pay with your personal OV-chipkaart.

Means of payment

When you book with the app, you can pay immediately with your credit card. You can also choose to pay on the bus with your debit card, credit card or OV-chipkaart.

If you have a subscription to the OV-chipkaart, travel with student OV or you are 65+ with a personal OV-chipkaart and a Dal Vrij 65+ subscription, then these products are valid. This also applies to national discount products.

Bring with you

You can take anything that fits within 47x73x34 cm with you. If you want to take more with you, book an extra seat. Do you want to bring a stroller or wheelchair? Please indicate this when you make your reservation.

An guide dog is allowed, but must remain on the floor and not on a seat. The driver may require other pets to be carried in a bag or carrier measuring a maximum of 47x73x34 cm.
